Tjar-Rei

Current home: The Dark Brotherhood Sanctuary

Occupation: Pickpocket and trainee assassin

Weapon: Steel Dagger and distraction spells

Homeland: Bravil, Cyrodiil

Biography: Tjar-Rei's Jel name means "Tar skin" or "Oil skin", refering to the black, oily scales that cover his face and body. Tjar-Rei was hatched in the slummy environment of Bravil, the south of Cyrodiil bordering Elsweyr. Never having met his father and knowing little of what became of his mother, Tjar-Rei had already at the age of twelve had his first taste of skooma. Even then he knew it was going to bring him down; just how far, he had no idea. For years he got through the days in a hazy state of only halfway existing. He clung onto one of the town's skooma dealers Siiq-Dar in the lack of any kind of role model, and the Khajiit drove him further into his addiction, well aware of Tjar-Rei's dependency of him. Tjar-Rei ended up becoming more of a burden to Siiq-Dar than he could handle and he shut him off. At the age of 23 or so, Tjar-Rei was all on his own with the only aim of his life being to get his claws on enough skooma to escape the everyday reality. In his sober hours he picked up on a skill taught to him by his Khajiit mentor - pickpocketing. His feather-like touch became vital to his survival, roaming Cyrodiil's rivers in rags. After years of life in the edge of the water and sleeping on the kerb, he began heading off north. Hope for a life change was non-existent in his blackout-center of a brain but having the feeling of having turned every stone within the Imperial homeland, he saw no reason for not heading North, towards the frozen and unforgiving rivers of Skyrim.
